About QuoteHub.ie
Ireland's smarter way to find and compare local professionals.
Our Mission
QuoteHub.ie exists to take the hassle out of hiring professionals for your home. Whether you need insulation installed, a solicitor for conveyancing, a plumber for an emergency, or an architect for your extension, we connect you with vetted local professionals who compete for your business.
We believe every homeowner deserves access to fair, competitive pricing. That means making it easy to compare quotes from multiple professionals rather than going with the first name you find in a Google search or accepting whatever price is quoted because you have no basis for comparison.
Homeowners who compare at least three quotes save an average of 20 to 35% on home improvement projects. QuoteHub makes that comparison effortless: you describe your job once, and up to four qualified professionals in your area contact you with quotes. No phone calls to make, no websites to trawl through, no wondering whether the price you have been quoted is fair.
How We're Different
QuoteHub.ie is part of the HomeRating.ie network, built by people who work in Irish property and energy services every day. We are not a faceless tech company or a Silicon Valley startup applying a generic template to the Irish market. We understand how Irish homeowners find and hire tradespeople because we have been doing it ourselves for over 15 years.
Our founder, Justin O'Brien, has been a SEAI-registered BER assessor since 2009, operating from Blackrock, Dublin. He has personally carried out thousands of home assessments across Dublin, Wicklow, Kildare, Meath, and Louth. That hands-on experience of being inside Irish homes every working day, seeing what works, what fails, and what homeowners struggle with, is the foundation QuoteHub is built on.
This is not a generic quote comparison platform where any company can sign up and start receiving leads. We prioritise quality over quantity: each lead goes to a maximum of four professionals, not ten or twenty. That means professionals take each lead seriously because they have a realistic chance of winning the work, and homeowners get thoughtful quotes rather than rushed sales pitches.
How We Vet Professionals
Every professional on QuoteHub is checked before they receive their first lead. We verify trade qualifications and registrations (SEAI, Safe Electric, RGII, RIAI, Law Society, and others depending on the trade), confirm public liability insurance, and check for a track record of completed work. We do not accept every applicant.
If a homeowner reports a problem with a professional matched through QuoteHub, we investigate and take action. Professionals who receive repeated complaints or who fail to maintain their qualifications are removed from the platform. Our reputation depends on the quality of the professionals we recommend, and we take that seriously.
Our Values
Transparency: No hidden fees for homeowners, ever. Professionals know what they pay per lead before they sign up. Everyone understands the deal.
Local focus: Every professional on QuoteHub operates in Ireland. We prioritise local tradespeople and firms who know your area, your housing stock, and your planning authority.
Genuine expertise: Our content is written by people who work in Irish property and energy, not by content mills. When we say insulation costs €1,200 to €2,000 for cavity fill, that is based on real Irish market data, not a number pulled from a UK website.
Quality over volume: Maximum four professionals per lead. Enough choice for the homeowner, enough opportunity for each professional. This is deliberate and will not change.
